Özyeğin University Additive Manufacturing Alloys Development, Application and Research Center (KİMTAL) Launched at Çekmeköy Campus

Özyeğin University has taken a new step in high-tech production areas that will shape the transformation of the industry. Established at Çekmeköy Campus with the support of the Istanbul Development Agency, the Additive Manufacturing Alloys Development, Application and Research Center (KİMTAL) takes a three-dimensional approach to developing unique alloys in metal additive manufacturing.

While Additive Manufacturing technologies are positioned as one of the fundamental building blocks of Industry 4.0, KİMTAL aims to contribute to Turkey's technological independence by developing innovative materials and production solutions in this field. The Center plays a critical role in designing and producing special alloys for the needs of many different sectors, from aviation to defense, automotive to medical technologies. In addition to its R&D activities, it establishes strong collaborations with the industry through testing, analysis, and consultancy services. This structure, which deepens university-industry interaction, supports the development of domestic and national technologies by accelerating knowledge transfer.
