We welcome you to the Mechanical Engineering web site at Özyeğin University. We are hoping to launch one of the most exciting mechanical engineering programs, with cutting edge research and with relevance to industrial applications and to the spirit of entrepreneurship. This site is to provide a brief introduction to our faculty, students, research programs, and the new initiatives, and will be updated regularly.

Mechanical engineering is one of the keystones of engineering principles and applications. Mechanical engineers are always in high demand for challenging jobs and advanced research positions in almost all industries and sectors all around the world. With their ability to think, design and build effectively, mechanical engineers are able to impact the traditional areas and are able to help the expansion of emerging areas, including nano- and micro-scale technologies, renewable energy devices and systems, biomedical and biomechanical tools and processes, among the others.

Our current research focus includes energy systems, advanced materials, diagnostic tools and nano/micro-scale processes. The courses we offer in the ME program span both the fundamental principles and the research topics covered by the faculty. In addition, the ME laboratories house some of the most state-of-the-art equipment and rapidly growing with both internal and external funding.
